Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to solar installation, servicing, maintenance, repair, customer assistance and related services provided by Barua Electrical Works.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation, booking a service, accepting a quotation, making a payment or proceeding with an installation, the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions together with the applicable quotation, invoice, work order and service-specific conditions.

2. PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

Where a customer chooses to use PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the installation and applicable Central Financial Assistance (CFA) process will be subject to the latest applicable Government of India, MNRE, National Portal and DISCOM rules, procedures and technical requirements.

Barua Electrical Works may assist with installation, documentation and the applicable portal/DISCOM process. Barua Electrical Works does not itself sanction, approve or guarantee government subsidy/CFA.

Important: Government subsidy/CFA is separate from the commercial price payable to Barua Electrical Works. Eligibility, CFA, approval, inspection, metering and CFA release are determined through the applicable official process.

3. Quotation and System Specification

Each project is based on a quotation or work order describing the proposed system capacity, equipment, scope of work, price, applicable taxes, installation requirements and payment schedule. Equipment brands, models and specifications will be those stated in the accepted quotation.

Customer-requested changes after acceptance may result in a revised quotation, additional cost or revised schedule.

4. Mandatory Advance Payment Before Installation

40%–60% Advance Payment Requirement

The customer must pay an advance of 40% to 60% of the total project value, as specified in the accepted quotation/work order, before procurement, material dispatch and/or scheduling of installation. The exact percentage applicable to each project will be clearly stated in the quotation or work order.

The advance payment is used for project planning, procurement, material reservation and installation arrangements. Installation scheduling may begin only after the required advance has been received and applicable technical or administrative requirements have been completed.

The remaining balance must be paid according to the quotation, invoice or work order. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the outstanding balance is payable before final handover/commissioning or at the payment stage stated in the accepted quotation.

5. Subsidy / CFA and Customer Payment

The customer remains responsible for payments due under the accepted quotation. Government CFA/subsidy, where applicable, is governed by the applicable scheme rules and is not treated as an automatic discount unless the quotation specifically states otherwise.

The timing of CFA release is controlled by the applicable government portal and DISCOM verification process. Delays in inspection, metering, documentation or government/DISCOM processing do not automatically cancel the customer's contractual payment obligations.

6. Customer Eligibility and Documents

  • Provide accurate consumer number and electricity bill details.
  • Provide correct name, address and contact information.
  • Provide bank and other information required for applicable CFA processing.
  • Provide documents required by the National Portal, DISCOM or competent authority.

Incorrect, incomplete or inconsistent information may cause delays or affect eligibility for applicable benefits.

7. Site Survey and Installation

Installation is subject to site suitability, structural conditions, roof access, electrical safety, technical feasibility and applicable DISCOM requirements.

Additional work outside the quotation, including special civil work, structural reinforcement, additional cable length, difficult access or electrical upgrades, may be charged separately after informing the customer.

8. Installation Schedule and Delays

Installation timelines are estimates and may depend on material availability, weather, site readiness, customer cooperation, technical feasibility, inspection, metering, DISCOM procedures and other circumstances outside the direct control of Barua Electrical Works.

9. Inspection, Metering and Commissioning

Where required, the customer must cooperate with inspection, documentation, net-metering and commissioning procedures. Physical installation does not by itself guarantee immediate approval, net-metering or CFA release.

10. Equipment Warranty

Solar modules, inverters, batteries and other equipment may carry manufacturer warranties subject to the manufacturer's terms. Warranty coverage may depend on installation, operation, maintenance and compliance with manufacturer instructions.

11. Servicing and Maintenance

Service and maintenance are provided according to the booked service and applicable quotation. Replacement parts, additional materials, travel outside the applicable service area or extra work may incur additional charges where communicated to the customer.

12. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation requests should be communicated as early as possible. If equipment has already been procured, customised, dispatched or installation resources committed, applicable costs may be deducted from any refundable amount. Refunds, where applicable, are handled according to the accepted quotation, actual project expenses and applicable law.

13. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information and required documents.
  • Provide safe access to the installation site.
  • Complete agreed payment milestones on time.
  • Inform the company of relevant site, electrical or structural issues.
  • Follow equipment operation, safety and maintenance instructions.
  • Cooperate with inspection, metering and documentation requirements.

14. Government Rules and Regulatory Changes

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and rooftop solar procedures may be amended by the Government of India, MNRE, National Portal, State Government, DISCOM or another competent authority. Projects must follow the applicable rules in force for the relevant process.

15. No Guarantee of Government Approval or Subsidy

Barua Electrical Works may assist with the applicable process, but final decisions relating to eligibility, technical feasibility, inspection, net metering, CFA/subsidy and government approval are made by the relevant authorities under their rules.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Barua Electrical Works is not responsible for delays or failures caused by government/DISCOM processes, force majeure events, incorrect customer information, site conditions outside the agreed scope, third-party services or manufacturer issues.

17. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when required because of changes in services, business practices, government schemes, regulations or applicable law. The latest version published on this page will apply to future transactions, subject to applicable law and existing contractual commitments.
